2001 Washington Quarter (D)

The Washington Quarter has been made since 1932

The Washington Quarter on the front side has the face of the first president of the united state George Washington (Aka the man the lead just threw the American Revolution and kicked the British out). The first Washington quarters were made of silver and would remain like that until 1964 when the coinage act of 1964 pretty much ended all silver coin production. Nowadays quarters are made of a copper nickel metal, however since the introduction with the Washington bicentennial Washington quarter in 1972 have had different back symbols with several variants since then. Just look at Ur pocket change and you'll see what i mean =)

DEFECTS

  • On the front of the coin, the edge if thicker at the top and thinner then at the bottom.

  • On the front again the T when the coin was minted in the middle of the T, there’s a smudge so the T has extra metal and it’s not damage.

  • On the back in the word “NEW YORK “the K in the middle has extra metal that make’s the K look bigger and chunkier which should not be there.

  • At the bottom of the back again the sentence “E PLUPLBUS UNUM “the whole sentence or most the letters where minted wring and are either smudged, missing metal or has extra metal when it should be in a perfect sentence not a mess.
