1983 Washington Quarter (P)

The Washington Quarter has been made since 1932

The Washington Quarter on the front side has the face of the first president of the united state George Washington (Aka the man the lead just threw the American Revolution and kicked the British out). The first Washington quarters were made of silver and would remain like that until 1964 when the coinage act of 1964 pretty much ended all silver coin production. Nowadays quarters are made of a copper nickel metal, however since the introduction with the Washington bicentennial Washington quarter in 1972 have had different back symbols with several variants since then. Just look at Ur pocket change and you'll see what I mean =)

DEFECTS 

  • On the front in the word “IN” letters are connected and fused together.

  • The letter P on the front of the coin the P stands for Philadelphia is full the middle of the letter is full and not thin.

  • On the back of the coin, in the word America, the A and M are3 connected.

  • Also, on the back the in the word “state” the T and E have extra metal which makes them bigger than any of the any other letters right next to them.

  • Finally, on the back again the word “America” all the letters are bigger and wider than there supposed to which it should be thinner and smaller.
