Here we have a 1968 Dime, made in Philadelphia, It has FDR on the front side part of the coin and it’s still in production from 1946 - Present. Although is not made of silver thanks to the Coin act of 1965 which made coins out of cheaper coins instead of silver because at the time there was a shortage of the metal so cheaper metals would have to do like copper and nickel.
DEFECFTS
On the from the LI in the word Liberty is smoothed out and not damaged to do so.
The Y has extra metal.
In the word in God we trust, The WE, GO and TR are all connected and touching the edge of the coin.
The 1968 is touching the edge as well.
On the back of the coin the U is touching the leaf.
USU are also touching the edge.
Also, NOM is smoothed out and missing metal at the same time.
